THE NEED

According to the Bureau of Justice statistics, nearly 70% of all reported sexual assaults occur to children ages 17 and younger – and approximately 40% of them are abused by older or larger children whom they know.  There is a growing and under served population of troubled adolescent boys tragically caught in the sexually abusive cycle.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Generations will open a new 28 bed facility that focuses on these boys who are unable to function in their communities or in a group home setting because of more complex needs.

THE TREATMENT

Treatment planning will be led by a psychiatrist committed to the Generations program philosophy –treating each boy in the least restrictive environment possible while addressing the needs of the “whole child” and his family.

GENERATIONS’ FUTURE

Adding the third facility, a psychiatric residential treatment component to Generations’ current services will allow us to provide services along a continuum of care.
